I have always said that "I am honest to a fault." I think this statement pretty accurately depicts the paradox that is unflinching honesty. Tonight, while reading, I found a description that I think describes my situation perfectly.
"She was one of those people who are irrevocably, incurably honest and therefore both inflexible and vulnerable at the same time."
